Taylorsville HAMnet Mission Statement
The Mission of the Taylorsville HAMnet group is to recruit, train and provide a pool of Ham Radio Operators who can carry on the tradition of Amateur Radio service in the community.
Our primary goals are:
To support local Emergency Management teams and Public Service agencies by providing technical resources, skilled radio operators, and emergency communications, when requested by our community leaders and/or other government authorities.
To train and prepare to support potential emergency situations, by outlining our communication plans and procedures to community leaders and local Amateur Radio Operators via our weekly net and monthly in-person meetings.
To provide communication support for community events as requested by local leaders and event committees.
To enhance our skills by experimenting with and developing all modes of communications utilizing authorized frequencies and methods allowed by FCC rules and regulations.
